BioMedbooster has been granted the exclusive rights from Maastricht University and the Academic Hospital Maastricht to facilitate the exploitation of all new inventions in life sciences. We exploit these inventions through license deals and spin-off companies, the latter being interesting investment opportunities.

The Maastricht Knowledge Institutes, have specific focal points of scientific expertise, which are displayed below:

• The CArdiovascular Research Institute Maastricht (CARIM), focussing on cardiovascular diseases
• The School for Nutrition, Toxicology and Metabolism (NUTRIM), focussing on Nutrition, Toxicology and Metabolism
• The School for Oncology & Developmental Biology (GROW) (GROW), focussing on Oncology & Developmental Biology
• The School for Mental Health and NeuroScience (MHeNS), focussing on Mental Health and Neuroscience
• The School for Public Health and Primary Care (CAPHRI), focussing on Public Health and Primary Care

• ACS Biomarker BV (CARIM originated spin-off, established 2007; new biomarkers for cardiovascular disease)
• FABPulous BV (CARIM originated spin-off, established 2008; cardiology biomarkers - diagnostic). FABPulous closed the first financing round in Januari 2010 in which Thuja Capital, Health Innovation Fund, Limburg Ventures, NV Industriebank LIOF and MeDaVinci Development participated as investor press release
• Vision2Health BV (CAPHRI originated spin-off, established 2009; tailored health education empowering behavioural changes)
• GlycoCheck BV (CARIM originated spin-off, established 2010; cardiovascular diagnostic)
• Psymate BV (MHENS originated spin-off, established 2010; behavioural changes)
• X-air BV (NUTRIM originated spin-off, established 2010; pulmonary diagnostic)

We strive to imbed our spin-offs on solid scientific, IP as well as financial foundations. Offering high quality and ripe investment opportunities that are build on solid foundations including shared financial resources.
